fP Technologies has partnered with Bio-metric
Products, Inc., an Indiana corporation and developer
of biometric products used to identify or authenticate
individuals, to provide you with the latest biometric
technology integrated with the power of filePro.
Using biometric fingerprint scanning technology,
fingerprints are stored in binary formats and images
of the actual fingerprints are never stored on the
computer system. Scanners can be attached to personal
computers, laptops, and network servers using the
USB port or can be located at door entrances for
unlocking and tracking the time of entrance and
exits. A three (3) track magnetic scanner can be
used to populate the database information (relating
to the enrolling individual), providing the information
is accessible.
Applications run on the Windows (95/98/2000/XP)
personal computers and Windows (2000/XP) servers.
Among all the biometric techniques, fingerprint-based
identification is the oldest method which has been
successfully used in numerous applications. Everyone
is known to have unique, immutable fingerprints.
For serious large-scale positive identification
applications, no other currently-available biometric
technology comes close to fingerprints.
